Upcoming GMC Hummer EV Supertruck To Offer Four Trim Levels

GMC Hummer EV Pickup - Teaser - Grille

The Hummer brand will be officially resurrected this week as a line of battery electric vehicles under the GMC brand. The first model in the revived Hummer family will be revealed this Tuesday, October 20th at 8 pm Easter, at which point reservation books will also open. At that time, prospective buyers will get to choose between four different trim levels for the new Hummer model.

That much is according to GMC Marketing VP, Phil Brooks, who revealed that there will be a quartet of trims on offer. However, Brooks didn’t say exactly what those trim levels will be. In particular, we don’t yet know whether GMC use its conventional trim level nomenclature, or if the Hummer EV Supertruck and any follow-up models will get unique trim level designations.

Currently GMC offers several trims across its various trucks, SUVs and crossovers that roughly carry the same structure. Many GMC models today are offered in SLE and SLT trims, followed by an offroad-oriented AT4 trim. The popular Denali trim caps the top of the lineup.

Besides the trim level structure, another key piece of information we’re currently missing is pricing. We know that the cost to place a reservation for the new Hummer EV will be $100, but there is no indication of the actual starting price point of the vehicle. Luckily, we’ll find out more information at 8 pm this Tuesday, October 20th when GMC official reveals the new Hummer. However, we’re sure that it won’t share all of the information at that point.
