2023 Hummer EV Pickup To Offer Extreme Off-Road Package
The 2023 GMC Hummer EV pickup truck will be offered with an Extreme Off-Road Package, HummerNation.com has learned.
The Extreme Off-Road Package includes the following items:
- 18-inch wheels
- 35-inch OD mud terrain tires
- Front and rear e-lockers
- Heavy-duty ball spline shafts
- Full underbody skid plates
- Underbody cameras
Pricing info for the package is currently not available, but we do know that all of the equipment on that list will be fitted as standard to the range-topping Edition 1, which will be the only Hummer EV pickup sold as a 2022 model year vehicle. It will go on sale in the fall of 2021, priced to start at $112,595, and will be the most powerful model in the range, with a combined output from its three electric motors of 1,000 horsepower.
The 2023 model year versions, for which the Extreme Off-Road Package will be available as an option, are the 800 horsepower, three-motor EV3X (available in the fall of 2022 at a starting price of $99,995) and the 625 horsepower, two-motor EV2X (available in the spring of 2023 at a starting price of $89,995).
The last Hummer EV scheduled to go on sale will be the EV2, which is mechanically identical to the EV2X but with less range (250 vs. 300 miles), with a starting price of $79,995. It will not be sold as a 2023 model year vehicle, since it won’t be available until the spring of 2024. It is currently unclear whether the EV2 will also be offered with the Extreme Off-Road Package.
All Hummer EV models can be reserved online at a cost of $100, with the exception of the Edition 1, which reached its maximum of 10,000 reservations within ten minutes of the opportunity becoming available.
