Hummer EV Military Vehicle Rendering Created For Memorial Day

Today is Memorial Day, a time to honor the U.S. military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice to fulfill their duty. Now, one digital automotive artist is recognizing Memorial Day with this new Hummer EV military-spec rendering.
Recently posted online by Oscar Vargas (wb.artist20), the new Hummer EV rendering gives the battery-powered truck a whole new spin, adding all the gear one would expect for deployment on the battlefield. That includes extensive armor plating, which was painted in a shade of desert sand to help it remain undetected. The silent-running all-electric powertrain likely helps in that respect as well.
The artist says he was inspired by the Hummer H1 when creating this Hummer EV military tribute, and it shows. The front end replaces the standard grille with small intakes, while sections of the front bumper were removed, now replaced with sturdy bash plates and revealing the suspension underneath.
With four doors, this Hummer EV military vehicle rendering has the goods to transport the squad and their gear to the battlefield, and of course, we can’t forget the roof-mounted gun, either.
Interestingly, the current Hummer EV could actually lead to its own military variant in real life, per statements made by GM Defense President, David Albritton, who has previously suggested that the Hummer EV’s impressive range and torque could “provide a great base platform for an electric vehicle to be used in the military context.”
As fans will point out, a military-spec Hummer EV would bring the nameplate back to its roots, with the original High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV, or Humvee for short) providing the basis for the civilian-spec variant now known as the H1.
It is also worth noting that Hummer Nation previously created its own military Hummer EV rendering, so check that out as well.
