Hummer EV Pickup Will Also Offer Power Station System

The new 2024 Hummer EV SUV has arrived, offering impressive all-electric power and a host of off-roading goodies and features. As Hummer Nation covered previously, the new Hummer EV SUV offers an optional Power Station, which, as it just so happens, will also join the Hummer EV pickup feature list with the 2024 model year.

First introduced with the debut of the Hummer EV SUV, the Power Station system is a bit of a misnomer. Rather than “generating” electricity, the feature actually draws electricity from the vehicle’s onboard Ultium battery pack, providing upwards of 3 kW to charge exterior accessories, equipment, or even another electric vehicle.

Although the system is described as a “generator,” the Power Station is more accurately described as a “power source,” as it isn’t actually “generating” electricity.

Regardless, the Power Station system will be available on Hummer EV pickup models for the 2024 model year, including the dual-motor EV2X trim level and three-motor EV3X trim level, both of which will offer the feature as an optional extra.

According to the automaker, the Power Station system provides 120v/25A/3kW charging capabilities, and can even provide juice to other EVs with 240v/25A/6kW charging capabilities. That means the system can be used for equipment out on the trail or at the campsite, and can be used at home to power appliances or space heaters during a power outage.

Pricing for the Power Station system is currently unavailable. That said, it is worth mentioning that the Ford F-150 offers its own integrated generator system called Pro Power Onboard, with both 2 kW and 2.4 kW variants available, starting at $995 for the standard F-150, and $750 for the F-150 Hybrid model.
