Back in March, the first-ever production 2022 Hummer EV Edition 1, VIN 001, rolled across the auction block at the Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale event in Arizona, raising an impressive $2.5 million for the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, a charity for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, and their families. Now, Barrett-Jackson has announced the auction of a non-fungible token (NFT) commemorating the sale of that first-ever production Hummer EV Edition 1.

For those readers who may be unaware, a non-fungible token is a piece of data that certifies a digital asset to be unique and non-interchangeable. The data is stored on a digital ledger, or blockchain, and can be used to represent a variety of digital files, such as photos and videos.

The NFT listed for sale by Barrett-Jackson includes an exclusive video, an illustration, and three still images commemorating the sale of Hummer EV VIN 001 in March, providing a nice collectible for those fans eager to own a slice of Hummer history. The NFT will be stored in the winning bidders’ Motoclub wallet. Motoclub is a digital collectibles marketplace for buying and selling automotive memorabilia, recently partnering with Barrett-Jackson to auction off a series of exclusive NFTs.

The winning bidder will also receive an exclusive Barrett-Jackson VIP Muscle Lounge ticket package for two to a 2022 Barrett-Jackson auction of their choosing, valued at more than $5,000.

The Hummer EV Edition NFT will be auctioned as Lot #4004 at the upcoming Barrett-Jackson Las Vegas 2021 event, with the sale set to take place between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. pacific time on Saturday, June 19^th, 2021.
