The Hummer is shorter, but wider.
Our latest photo of a GMC Hummer EV all-electric pickup truck in the wild gives the closest dimensional comparison yet with an existing General Motors vehicle.
The side-on shot shows a Hummer EV parked immediately behind a 2014 GMC Sierra Denali 1500 Crew Cab Short Box. Both trucks are painted white, and appear to be at approximately equal distance from the camera.
It is immediately obvious that the Hummer EV is substantially shorter than the Sierra Denali. This is supported by the official GM figures for both vehicles, which show that the Sierra is 12.7 inches longer and has a 7.9-inch greater wheelbase.

What is not apparent from the photo is that the Hummer EV is 13.7 inches wider, at 93.7 inches including door mirrors. Its front and rear tracks are equal, at 73.3 inches, and are therefore 4.5 inches and 5.7 inches greater than those of the Sierra Denali.
GMC has published all the dimensions for the Hummer EV except for height. The photo shows that its roof line is lower than that of the Sierra Denali, which is 75.9 inches tall. The Hummer is around 81 inches tall, although this will vary by about six inches depending on whether the vehicle is in the Standard Mode, Terrain Mode or Extract Mode settings of it Air Ride Adaptive suspension.
The 1,000-horsepower, three-motor Edition 1 version of the new truck will go on sale in the fall of this year, priced to start at $112,595. Three more models – with decreasing power outputs and increasing affordability – will arrive in the two and a half of years after that, culminating in the 625-horsepower, two-motor EV2, which will launch in the spring of 2024.

An SUV version of the Hummer EV will be officially revealed on April 3rd, though it was shown at the Barclay’s Automotive Conference late last year. The SUV is expected to be mechanically similar to the pickup truck, and to have a similar pricing structure.
