"Big" doesn't even begin to explain it.
To add to the bevy of photos showing the Hummer EV pickup in a real-world environment a few days ago, HummerNation.com can now bring you another rather interesting image, one that shows the all-electric supertruck joining traffic on a busy highway.
The photo provides a healthy idea of the considerable size of the new supertruck. In fact, we already knew that the Hummer EV pickup was a substantial vehicle, but seeing it among regular vehicles gives an entirely new impression of its heft that the bare figures can not.

That said, the bare figures are still worth reading. The table above shows the dimensions of the 2022 Hummer EV pickup alongside those of the 2021 Chevy Tahoe full-size SUV. The Hummer EV is almost exactly six inches longer than the Tahoe, and therefore nine inches shorter than the Tahoe’s close relative, the Chevy Suburban, which features a longer wheelbase and overall length when compared to the Tahoe. The front and rear axles of the Hummer EV are further apart still – at 135.6 inches, making the Hummer’s wheelbase 14.7 inches longer than that of the Tahoe. The electric truck’s wheelbase is also a full 1.5 inches longer than that of the already-gargantuan Suburban.
The vehicles are closer in terms of width. Without mirrors, the Hummer is 5.6 inches wider, and its front and rear tracks are 4.8 inches and 5.0 inches greater respectively.
The height difference is close to being a “known unknown”, since General Motors has not yet revealed exactly how tall the Hummer EV is in any of the three driver-adjustable drive modes (Standard, Terrain Mode or Extract Mode) of its Air Ride Adaptive suspension. However, an image published recently on GM Authority suggests that it is approximately the same height as, or perhaps fractionally lower than, the Tahoe, on what appears to be its standard setting.
The story will become fully clear well before the 1,000 horsepower, three-motor First Edition version of the Hummer EV pickup truck goes on sale in the fall of this year, priced to start at $112,595. Other, more affordable models will launch thereafter.
